The m.Smart Universal I/O Module is a Modbus RTU I/O expansion device sized for the most common water and wastewater monitoring and control tasks. A single module supports solar/battery monitoring, 4–20 mA pressure or level sensors, pulse-output flow meters, VFD speed and run, contactor pump control, and float inputs — everything you need to instrument a tower, master meter, pump, or lift station pump.

The module mounts to a Phoenix Contact ME MAX 22,5 DIN-rail housing. Power and Modbus are delivered through the DIN-rail bus connector, while six 4-position pluggable spring-cage headers carry all field wiring. Eighteen front-panel status LEDs show Modbus TX/RX, every digital state, and analog validity at a glance.
