"We went from an old Windows 98 system to being able to monitor and control everything from our phones. The intelligence built into the system has already saved us over 100,000 gallons of water."
- Town of Goldsby
Goldsby's aging SCADA system was running on a Windows 98 computer with no secure remote access. Their 9 wells operate in groups, requiring an easy way to start and stop wells together. They also faced a persistent problem: the clearwell would overflow because the treatment plant continued draining water into it after shutoff, sending thousands of gallons into a drainage ditch.
D6 Labs deployed a complete system upgrade covering all 9 wells, the water treatment plant, two booster stations, and two towers. We built intelligent logic that detects when the clearwell is at risk of overflow and automatically pumps excess water into whichever tower has capacity, rather than losing it. Wells can now be easily grouped and controlled together through the Whisker.io platform.
"Before D6 Labs, we wouldn't know about a pump failure until the lift station overflowed. Now we get alerts immediately and can fix problems before they become emergencies."
- Town of Washington
Washington had no SCADA system in place and was operating blind. Their sewage lift station had a history of overflows because pump failures went undetected until raw sewage was already spilling out. The water tower required manual monitoring with no automated well control.
D6 Labs installed a complete monitoring and control system. For the water system, we monitor the tower level and automatically control two wells to maintain proper levels. At the lift station, we installed a PulsarQ radar sensor for reliable level monitoring as a backup to the existing float switches, plus pump current monitors on each pump to detect failures instantly.
"With our old system, we had to call an engineer every time we needed to change an alarm or update a screen. Now we can do it ourselves in minutes from anywhere."
- Okmulgee RWD #2
Okmulgee RWD #2 was operating with a very old SCADA system that had become non-functional. Their infrastructure included 4 towers and 4 booster pump stations that needed reliable monitoring and control. Like many traditional SCADA customers, they were dependent on engineers for any changes to HMI screens or alarm configurations.
D6 Labs replaced the failed system with a modern, secure platform covering all 4 towers and 4 booster stations. The Whisker.io platform gives operators the ability to modify HMI pages and alarm settings themselves without calling in an engineer. Secure remote access from phones means they can monitor and manage operations from anywhere.
All D6 Labs' products are designed and built by our team of engineers and technicians in the heartland of the USA. We do not outsource any part of our business so when you need support, you are talking directly to the people who design and build our product. We maintain stock on all parts so a replacement is just a phone call away.
